Ahead of your appointment we need to ask your consent in three different areas:
The use of an AI transcription program during your appointment
Dr Newman has been utilising a confidential and anonymous AI transcription program in consultations to help record a summary of what was said. This also means Dr Newman can focus on the consult and not have to write as many notes.
The summary will be uploaded to your file via the myIndici portal so you'll be able to see it straight away to help you remember what was discussed and the plans moving forward. Please note - it does make mistakes, so will always be reviewed by the clinician.
Contributing your data towards Dr Newman's research projects.
Are you happy for Dr Newman to include your data in future research projects? It would be entirely anonymous. If Information is included, it would be published without names attached and every attempt will be made to ensure anonymity. The Information may be published in a journal which is read worldwide or an online journal. Journals are aimed mainly at health care professionals but may be seen by many non-doctors, including journalists. The Information may be placed on a website. You can withdraw my consent at any time before online publication, but once the Information has been committed to publication it will not be possible to withdraw the consent.
